The client base is as interesting and diverse as other mid tier firms - HNW and UHNW individuals many of whom have international elements to their tax affairs, serial entrepreneurs and family groups. It is standard practice to bespoke a portfolio so you gain the experience you most enjoy, but it is the friendly, transparent and nurturing culture which they feel is their strongest selling point. This enables team members to fulfil their potential and for everyone to contribute and have a voice which is heard.
The firm's tax team is based over several locations but operates as one. They are looking for a private client tax manager to be based in their north Surrey office but working on a variety of both local and London based clients.
The firm has a very successful hybrid working policy consisting of c. 2 days in the office a week to see clients, get involved in training sessions, mentoring more junior staff and benefitting from face to face mentoring yourself.
You will have responsibility for your own client list, developing the client relationship, reviewing the compliance work carried out by the seniors, and advising on ad hoc consultancy projects and tax planning.
You are likely to be CTA qualified or a current student and will have c. 3 years+ experience in private client tax. A positive and can-do attitude and the ability to work as part of a friendly team is essential.
