We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward thinking Band 6 Dietitian to join our growing team of 7 Renal Dietitians at the Denmark Hill site of King’s College Hospital. The successful applicant will have a strong clinical background and excellent behaviour change and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for holding a clinical caseload, contributing to service development and providing support and guidance to dietetic and multidisciplinary team colleagues. 

Here at King’s, the renal team run a proactive, dietitian-led, nutrition service.  As an autonomous clinical specialist dietitian, you will be responsible for your own caseload, manage your own time and get to know your patients. You will be an integral member of our supportive multidisciplinary renal team delivering high quality, patient-centred renal dietetic care. 

We provide a dietetics service to renal inpatients and outpatients, in areas including dialysis, advanced kidney care, nephrology and weight management. 

We regularly evaluate our practice, know our worth, and often present our work as poster or oral presentations at conferences.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for a clinical caseload, ensuring safe practice and contributing to the delivery, and evaluation of, an effective and efficient service. 

Our large dietetics department expects all staff to be involved in the teaching of other healthcare professionals, in line with our mission to provide excellence in clinical care, research and teaching in King’s Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre. We also undertake student training and you would play an active role in student supervision.
