Year 4 Teacher Role - April 2025 Start
Start Date: After April Half Term 2025.
Location: Greenwich.
Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (Until the End of the Academic Year, with the Potential for a Permanent Role).
The Opportunity
A welcoming and well-respected primary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 4 Teacher to join their team from April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive school community that values high-quality teaching, inclusivity, and student development. The position is offered on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year , with the opportunity for it to become a permanent role . The school is keen to arrange a trial shift this week for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 4.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student well-being and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupil learning.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic performance.
- Contribute to school life, including attending meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching in KS2, ideally within Year 4.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Enthusiasm for professional development and collaborative working.
