Primary Teaching Assistant
A welcoming and community-focused primary school in Hounslow is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
About the role
Primary Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Mainstream Primary School
Location: Hounslow
Working Hours: 08:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
You will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging and well-planned lessons across the primary curriculum. Your role will involve supporting whole-class learning, working with small groups to reinforce key concepts in English and Maths, and providing additional support to pupils who may require extra guidance.
You will help to create a positive, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn. The role may also involve supporting pupils with mild additional needs, promoting independence, and encouraging positive behaviour strategies in line with school policies.

Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
Delivering small group interventions in core subjects
Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development
Following safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Primary Teaching Assistant you will:
- Previous experience working in a primary school
- Confident supporting English and Maths learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, proactive, and reliable approach
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- DBS on the update service
- Previous years working in the UK
