The Company
My Client are a major National Building and Civil Engineering Contractor with projects across UK and Ireland are experiencing a sustained period of growth and require a Junior Quantity Surveyor from a Civil Engineering Background to Join the Commercial team.
The Role
The Successful Quantity Surveyor will be working on a major £100M+ infrastructure project in Essex due to start in 2019 and will be responsible for the following:-
- Production of schedules of work
- Sourcing of labour, plant and materials
- Monitoring and Reviewing costs to ensure Value, including checking and approving subcontractors applications and valuing variations
- Production of monthly cost value reports
- Prepare monthly cost reports
- Compile, submit and negotiate agreement of final account
- Preparation of Tender and Contract documentation
The Person
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
- Good communication skills verbal and written
- Relevant construction related degree
- Quantity Surveying experience (2 years minimum) on civil engineering projects
