We are just a little bit excited to announce recruitment for our Chef Hands programme where we want YOU to join us!

Chef Hands at Constellation is looking for candidates who can commit to regular work, including weekends, at our exciting event venues. Work at some of the biggest football & rugby stadiums, racecourses, cricket grounds, music arenas! Our team members must be looking to dedicate their time to learning across a season, with commitment to their preferred venues' event days so we can begin to create a consistent and successful team.

So… what is Chef Hands?

Chef Hands is your opportunity to get your foot in the door within the culinary sector. You won't need to have any previous cheffing experience, all we ask for is commitment, passion, and a willingness to learn. We want to provide career progression from the ground up and remove the fear factor of working in kitchens, it’s not scary – we promise! We will provide you with support every step of the way through our ‘ Learn, Train, Work, Earn, Succeed’ initiative .

Learn! As part of our culinary team, you will have access to a mixture of online and on-site training, allowing you to gain practical skills which will accelerate you within your Constellation career. You will gain essential knowledge on kitchen operations, safe working practices, service standards, teamwork, and much, much more.

Train! Our ‘Chef Hands’ are trained, coached, and mentored by some of the best in the business. With a range of chefs that hold a wealth of knowledge coming from a variety of dining backgrounds – the possibilities are endless for what you could achieve. You will be given direction on how to undertake basic cooking duties, prepare simple dishes, and efficiently plate during a live service.

Work! You will work flexible hours alongside our kitchen team, as well as our front of house staff for both prep and live event days. This is a casual contract that provides work as and when it becomes available. Due to the nature of the venues we operate in, flexibility is key. All roles will require you to work some weekday evenings and weekends.

Earn! With a competitive starting rate of £13.92 an hour, and the ability to work as much or as little as you’d like, this is up to you! Constellation optimises the working schedules of Compass employees, so we can also help you work at over 5,000 venues across the UK on shifts that suit you. You’ll have the opportunity to work at world-class venues such as the Wimbledon Championships, Goodwood Racecourse, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Twickenham Allianz Stadium and many more!

Succeed! As well as great personal growth, Chef Hands will continually support you in your professional development. There is the opportunity to progress into a higher role, such as Junior CDP, which gives you more opportunities, more responsibility, and a higher hourly rate. This will be assessed by your attitude and commitment to the programme. We can also direct you to our apprenticeship programme if you see a long-term career in the culinary sector.
