Senior Product Designer (Hiring Immediately)
We’re reinventing payments.
In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.
Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year.
But we’re just getting started.
Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.
The role...
You are an experienced product designer with a strong design process, turning complicated problems into compelling UX and service solutions. You pair this with a sophisticated eye for intuitive UI — thinking in systems and striving for accessibility. Your strong personal skills foster collaboration across teams. The focus of this role is to make sales and service feel like magic, joining a team focused on creating new tools and products that enable seamless sales conversations and customer support.
This role demands a high level of ownership—someone who thrives in ambiguity, understands users, collaborates seamlessly across disciplines, and knows how to get the right people in the room to make smart decisions, fast. You have proven effectiveness within a product business driving research through to polished execution, working shoulder to shoulder with engineering teams and product managers to scale and optimise new products and features.
What you will do...
- Work end-to-end across research, storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping, with the key focus on providing interactive designs to be implemented with the development team.
- Work closely with Product Managers to understand the problems and priorities for the team.
- Work on the user experience and visual design, with support from existing team members, to come up with beautiful experiences for our customers across web and mobile interfaces.
- Demonstrate a high level of ownership and thrive in ambiguity.
- Understand users and collaborate seamlessly across disciplines.
- Know how to get the right people in the room to make smart decisions, fast.
- Drive research through to polished execution.
- Work shoulder to shoulder with engineering teams and product managers to scale and optimise new products and features.
What you will bring...
- Experience in UX & UI design: A proven track record in both User Experience and User Interface design.
- Design and Prototype Tools Proficiency: Expertise in current industry-standard design and prototyping software.
- User Flow Optimisation: Ability to map and optimise user flows, prioritising opportunities and pain points.
- Engineering Collaboration: An understanding of web development and mobile development, with proven approaches to collaboration with engineering.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-Solving & Creative Thinking: Aptitude for complex systems thinking, problem-solving, and creative solution design.
- Clear Design Process: Self-motivation and organisation, with a clear design process and planning methodology.
- User Research Grounding: Strong grounding in user research methodologies and tooling.
- Experimentation and Optimisation: Experience creating and evaluating product experiments and variant tests to aid continuous discovery and optimisation.
- Design System Contribution: Experience building with, and contributing to, a tokenised design system.
- Strong Portfolio: A strong portfolio of work showcasing both UX and visual skills.
Nice to have…
- Fintech/Payments Experience: 5+ years in Product Design, ideally spending some time in the Fintech or payments industries.
- Salesforce Integration: Experience creating solutions that integrate with Salesforce or similar CRM solutions.
Dojo home and away
We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.
That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.
With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.
Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?
If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.
If the following speak to you, let’s talk:
- You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
- You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
- You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
