Role Responsibilities
As the SBM, your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the school’s financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring expenditure.
Managing human resources, payroll, and staff administration.
Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, policies, and safeguarding requirements.
Leading and developing the administrative and facilities teams to maintain high standards across the school.
Managing contracts, procurement, and supplier relationships.
Supporting strategic planning and providing accurate management information to the leadership team.
Coordinating site management, health and safety, and risk assessments.
Contributing to school improvement initiatives and ensuring operational excellence.
Candidate Requirements
Extensive experience in school management, finance, or administration, preferably as an SBM or similar role.
Strong financial and operational management skills, including budgeting and reporting.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Knowledge of statutory compliance, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements.
Highly organised, proactive, and able to work strategically and operationally.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
