12 beds, female, 18+ and a Secure 41 beds, males, 18+. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours. We offer specialist mental health care to people who are unwell and are considered to be unable to look after themselves in the community. We offer specialist assessment, treatment and care to patients with severe mental illness, complex needs and people who require an environment with security and safety. What you'll be doing

As a Forensic Social Worker , you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
- To provide expertise and leadership in Safeguarding.
- To bring clear focus on the rights of all service users and their families, including the ability to investigate, evaluate and learn from allegations to improve safety, dignity and compassion within the unit.
- To work as part of the Multi- disciplinary Team focusing on prevention, early intervention, building resilience and self-care, reducing and delaying dependency.
- To undertake assessments, care plans and where required Tribunal Report to determine eligibility and support the access to services under relevant social care framework.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree-level Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. They will have detailed knowledge of Mental Health legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Safeguarding legislation such as The Care Act 2014. With strong multidisciplinary, recovery-focused practice skills, they will apply evidence-informed interventions that promote autonomy, rights, and positive outcomes for individuals and families. The role requires excellent judgment, partnership working, risk management, and the ability to critically reflect, lead, and model effective practice in complex situations while maintaining professional boundaries.
