Role Overview:
We are seeking a Business Change Manager with current SC clearance to lead the planning, delivery, and embedding of change across complex transformation programmes within government or defence environments. The successful candidate will ensure that business change initiatives are effectively managed, stakeholders are engaged, and benefits are realised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute change management strategies and plans to support programme delivery
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and create targeted communication and engagement plans
- Identify and manage resistance to change, providing coaching and support where needed
- Conduct impact assessments and define change interventions across people, process, and technology
- Work with project and programme teams to ensure change is integrated into project lifecycle
- Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of change activities
- Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and training sessions
- Support benefits realisation and ensure sustainable change adoption
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Current SC (Security Check) Clearance
- Proven experience as a Business Change Manager within large-scale transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels
- Experience working within UK Government or Defence sectors
- Ability to work across multiple workstreams and manage competing priorities
- Skilled in change impact assessments, communications, training, and readiness assessments
Desirable:
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, APMG Change Management)
- Knowledge of Agile delivery environments
- Experience in business transformation, digital change, or service redesign projects
- Familiarity with GDS (Government Digital Service) principles and standards

This role at Amber Labs is a 12 Month salary based FTC position, and all employees are required to hold current SC . Please be advised that, at this time, we are unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold a visa of any type.
