You’re a strategic and people-driven talent professional who loves bringing great people and great opportunities together. Confident partnering with senior leaders and rolling up your sleeves when needed, you balance big-picture thinking with hands-on delivery.
You’re passionate about creating exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences, shaping an authentic employer brand, and using data and insight to continuously improve. With a blend of creativity, curiosity, and commercial awareness, you see recruitment not just as filling roles—but as shaping the future of the business.
What you’ll be doing (in a nutshell):
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Talent Acquisition Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s hiring strategy. This role oversees all aspects of recruitment - both internal and external - while managing one direct report.
The Talent Acquisition Lead will own and optimise the Applicant Tracking System (Teamtailor), build and deliver a forward-thinking employer brand strategy, and ensure a best-in-class experience for candidates and hiring managers alike.
Day-to-day you can expect to:
Talent Acquisition
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the organisation’s long-term growth plans.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring efficiency, fairness, and an exceptional candidate experience.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations in talent acquisition by attending events, building networks, and applying best practices.
- Deliver training and guidance to hiring managers to ensure effective, inclusive, and high-quality recruitment practices.
Business Partnering
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including hiring managers, senior leaders, and external partners.
- Partner with business leaders to understand current and future talent needs, forecasting and prioritising recruitment activity accordingly.
- Collaborate on internal talent and career mapping, advocating for internal mobility and challenging assumptions where appropriate.
Employer Branding & EVP
- Define, develop, and promote a compelling employer brand that authentically represents the company culture, values, and Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
- Drive consistent, high-quality candidate experiences across all touchpoints, from application to onboarding.
- Oversee initiatives to build external brand presence and engagement across social, digital, and professional platforms.
- Design and implement an alumni programme to drive referrals, engagement, and potential rehires.
Team Management & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a small but high-performing team, fostering collaboration, curiosity, and accountability.
- Provide regular feedback, professional development, and growth opportunities for direct reports.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the Talent Acquisition function.
Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain a talent acquisition reporting dashboard to monitor key metrics such as time-to-hire, quality of hire, and candidate experience.
- Analyse recruitment data to identify process improvements and inform decision-making.
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Use data to forecast future hiring needs, track market trends, and evaluate employer brand effectiveness.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes across a variety of functions and levels.
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute a talent acquisition strategy aligned with business goals.
- Experience owning and optimising an ATS (ideally Teamtailor).
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience partnering at senior levels.
- Demonstrable experience in employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
- People management experience with the ability to coach and inspire team members.
