The Hammersmith and Fulham School Effectiveness Team are seeking to appoint an experienced education professional to join the School Effectiveness Team including direct school improvement work, leading on LA to school communications and CPD workforce development.
The core functions of the post are:
- To provide high quality school improvement advice and guidance, to schools and settings as required.
- Ensure that the LA exercises its statutory responsibilities for raising standards and achievement, promoting inclusion and safeguarding through monitoring, support, challenge and effective intervention.
- To lead and be accountable for communications between the LA and schools and Early Years settings including the H&F Learning Partnership website, newsletters, emails and letters to school leaders and staff.
- To lead, deliver and be accountable for an in-borough programme of professional development network meetings, training and CPD opportunities delivered via the H&F Learning Partnership for schools.
- To lead on agreed areas of the wider strategic work of the School Effectiveness Team such as climate education and state/independent school partnerships.
We are looking for a confident and experienced practitioner with either recent successful senior leadership experience, or school improvement experience in a Local Authority, who can demonstrate effective practice in working with schools to raise pupil achievement and ensuing high quality education provision.
You will have strong knowledge of the current legislative requirements in which schools and their governing boards operate, and of effective practice. The ability to identify key issues accurately, interpret data accurately and good oral, written and technology skills are essential.
Hammersmith and Fulham have a strong community of schools with pupil achievement above the national averages at statutory assessment points. There is a close partnership between schools and the Local Authority with a shared commitment to improving outcomes for all pupils.
This post is offered as a term-time only, permanent position. We welcome hybrid working- travelling across schools in the borough and from our central Hammersmith offices. All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
