Assurance builds, maintains and develops confidence. Deloitte's assurance offerings help those charged with governance to understand their business and build trust amongst key stakeholders and regulators.

The Securitisation group, as part of the wider Accounting & Reporting Group in Assurance, provides Securitisation, modelling and valuation services to the Banking and wider Structured Finance Industry. We understand our clients' industry and the issues they face, and this enables us to provide them with relevant advice. The combination of our specialist skills, industry expertise and on-going investment in this area allows us to anticipate complex business problems for our clients and recommend appropriate action.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Associate or Assistant Manager to work in the Securitisation team, focused on modelling from a structured finance perspective. This team is expanding rapidly to meet the increased volume of work in this area.

The successful candidate will assist in the provision of a range of different service offerings provided by the Securitisation team, which may include:

A range of assurance services to the banking and structured finance industry including

• Stratification/analytics
• Capital structure modelling under various economic scenarios
• Review of offering documents for asset-level data and analytics disclosures
• Verification agent and investor payment date verification and recalculation
• Closing date and effective date procedures
• Building, developing and documenting models in line with market best practice
• Data manipulation including the use of software such as Excel, Python and VBA
• Contributing to the strategy for the Securitisation team, and volunteering to promote certain initiatives

To qualify for this role, we are looking for the following skills/experience:

• Strong analytical capabilities
• Articulate and able to challenge approaches
• Strong excel and VBA modelling skills
• Highly motivated and committed
• Positive and ambitious attitude
• Understanding of loans, mortgages and similar debt types
• Ability to develop strong client relationships
• Highly proficient in written and oral communication
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team

The following would be useful but not essential for a successful candidate:

• Python experience
• Experience in Financial Services or Structured Products
• Ability to visualise and understand large complex structures

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
