Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all Year 2 pupils, ensuring a focus on both academic and personal development.

• Use a range of assessment methods to monitor pupil progress, ensuring clear and consistent feedback for students and their families.

• Create a supportive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and self-confidence.

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the continuity and progression of the curriculum, actively contributing to planning and sharing best practices.

• Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on pupil progress and offering guidance for home learning.

• Engage with the wider school community through extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that enrich the pupils' educational experience.

Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.

• Proven experience in assessing and tracking pupil progress, with the ability to use this data to inform future teaching strategies.

• Excellent classroom management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively within the school community.

• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards professional development, with a passion for education and continuous improvement.
