Corporate M&A Associate
Join a standout London corporate team at a leading US law firm, acting on high-value private M&A and growth equity transactions. You’ll work in lean, partner-led teams for major private equity funds, asset managers, and portfolio companies, gaining exposure to global deal-making and direct client contact from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support on UK and cross-border private M&A for sponsor-side and management clients.
- Draft, negotiate, and execute transaction documents across diverse sectors (tech, life sciences, media, and financial services).
- Collaborate with US colleagues on multi-jurisdictional PE mandates.
- Drive client engagement and manage junior support on fast-moving deals.
- Contribute to business development and client relationship initiatives.
- 2–7 PQE, UK-qualified (or equivalent), with experience in Private M&A / PE transactions.
- Background from a top-tier US or international firm in London.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
- Appetite for high-value, fast-paced transactions and small-team collaboration.
- Confident communicator with excellent attention to commercial detail.
- E&W qualification.
- Lean, high-performing corporate group advising on deals typically ranging from £50m–£1bn+.
- Core client base: major PE sponsors, institutional investors, and high-growth companies.
- Collaborative, non-hierarchical culture with direct partner access and real autonomy.
