A Side: A Day in the Life

This position sits within the UK Administration department, which encompasses our Copyright, Royalties and Analytics business units.

This key role will work closely with our local Finance and Global Administration teams as well as external sources, to oversee the reconciliation and processing of incoming royalty statements and tracking of financial positions. This position will contribute to the development and optimisation of business processes and tools, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing solutions.

In addition to coordinating income processing, this role will be responsible for various reconciliations that form part of our key internal controls. The person will also be required to provide both regular and ad-hoc reporting to management and assist with larger administration projects as and when required by the business.

The ideal candidate will possess a nimble and process driven mindset, thriving in a team-based, deadline-oriented environment.

This team operates a hybrid working pattern of 4 days a week in the office Mon-Thurs, with Friday working from home.

B Side: Skills & Experience

Essential

• A self-starter with an aptitude for logical thinking and problem solving.
• Highly organised with effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand complex processes, along with a willingness & ability to learn and effectively use multiple bespoke systems.
• Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
• Team Player.

Desirable

• Proven track record at a Music Publisher, Label or Society in a royalty-based role.
• Knowledge of Domo or AWS Quicksight, or other data visualisation & analytics packages.
• Use of Monday.com.
• Good understanding of the workings of collection societies worldwide, including the economics of the music publishing industry.
