Practice Manager - Architecture Studio

Architecture Social
London

Job Description

A leading architecture practice is expanding its mission critical offering and is seeking a Practice Manager who can support strategic planning, drive performance, mentor talent, and ensure exceptional delivery across multiple high profile projects.

You will work closely with senior leadership to guide the studio’s direction, oversee its financial health, and ensure that people, processes and resources are aligned to achieve both short term targets and long term ambitions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in project leadership who is ready to step further into strategic and operational management.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic planning and contribute to OKRs, financial forecasting and resourcing needs
  • Partner with studio leaders to assess growth, performance and development opportunities
  • Communicate studio initiatives and ensure teams have the clarity, support and information they need
  • Oversee project delivery quality, documentation standards, workflow, and client service
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, utilisation and financial metrics, recommending adjustments where needed
  • Provide guidance, coaching and technical support to project managers, architects, designers and construction professionals
  • Lead client relationships at a senior level and support teams during all project phases, from early briefing through to construction
  • Help resolve project challenges, negotiate key decisions and ensure issues are addressed promptly
  • Represent the studio as a trusted senior figure with the ability to influence outcomes and build confidence

Skills and Experience

  • Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related field
  • 15 plus years’ experience in the AEC sector with strong leadership capability
  • Proven experience managing project finances, resourcing and multi disciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of tools such as MS Office, Microsoft Teams and Vision software
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire collaboration and support an inclusive, people centred culture
  • Strong problem solving abilities and a calm, diplomatic leadership style
  • The right to live and work in the UK

Benefits

  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • Opportunities for progression into studio or regional leadership
  • Exposure to major mission critical projects
  • A supportive culture that values mentorship, innovation and professional growth

If you are ready to step into a role where you will influence both people and projects, this opportunity is worth exploring.
