We are looking for an action-oriented, strategic thinker that will focus on generating consistent and impactful media coverage in support of Accenture’s business priorities. This PR professional will play a major role in helping drive the messaging and positioning for Accenture’s key topics/ thought leadership campaigns and experts.

The specialist will be a key member of the internal Agency team which supports all of Accenture media relations - across the UK within industries, functions and strategy and insights.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Have a keen understanding of the key issues and trends affecting our business
  • Be a proactive thinker focused on generating tier-one and trade media coverage in support of Accenture’s content and key topics
  • Possess strong communications skills, with the ability to reduce complex topics into clear concise messaging; including exceptional writing and editing skills for audiences ranging from general to business to more technically (press releases, talking points, Q&A, and other PR collateral)
  • Have the creativity and initiative to drive media results
  • Have the ability to function effectively within a matrixed organization and support Accenture’s approach to teamwork and collaboration
  • Support and advise business leadership on media relations strategy and messages
  • Adapt global thought leadership content to local media
  • Work across geographies to implement campaigns and programmes
  • Support the wider media team with budgets, regular reports, etc.

Travel Expectations :
  • Limited travel expected.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree or other university degree preferred

•Minimum of 4-6 years’ agency or in-house experience in PR/corporate communications in the marketing, technology and/ or professional services sectors

•Experience at building strong working relationship and providing strategic counsel to senior leadership

•Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and collaboration in professional setting

•Demonstrated knowledge and ability for media measurement tools, tactics and capabilities.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Proven ability to quickly and concisely draft a wide range of clear, concise and high-quality media materials including news releases, media Q&As, media pitches, bylined articles, op-eds, etc
  • Detailed knowledge of UK media landscape and evidence of strong track record in media relations
  • Social media familiarity and skills
  • Experience supporting major industry events
  • Ability to interact and work closely with media contacts representing clients, alliance partners, third-party organisations, vendors, and others.
  • Broad overall business acumen and knowledge of Accenture’s areas of business
  • Strong project management and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Passion for executing deliverables and programmes that are of the highest quality, fully supporting Accenture’s business strategy and are in line with or exceed leadership expectations
  • Ability to influence leadership within Accenture’s large, matrixed organization through relationship-building and executive-level presence
  • Strong team skills-ability to work autonomously and independently yet integrate appropriately with Marketing + Communications colleagues across other service areas, industry groups, geographies, capabilities and within corporate communications disciplines.
