Assistant Trainer at London School of Coffee
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Assistant to join our team at the London School of Coffee. This freelance part-time role requires flexibility with dates and a passion for the art of coffee.Key Responsibilities: 1. Morning Coffee Service: Prepare and serve coffees for students upon their arrival in the morning, ensuring a warm and welcoming start to their day. 2. Assist Trainers: Support trainers during SCA and non-SCA courses, including barista and brewing sessions. Tasks may include setting up exams, arranging solutions for sensory exams, and preparing cupping tables. Additionally, assist with setting up coffee machines in the morning and cleaning them down after use. Provide assistance with milk steaming as needed during barista courses. 3. Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the space. This includes washing up equipment, cleaning down surfaces, and ensuring all items are returned to their correct storage locations. Requirements: • Previous experience in a similar role within the coffee industry preferred but not essential. • Passion for coffee and a desire to learn and grow within the industry. • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. • Flexibility with scheduling and availability to work varying hours based on course schedules.
