Nursery – Bright Horizons Wimbledon Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary – Starting from £13.55 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Wimbledon Nursery , situated only 8 minutes walk from Wimbledon Station and south Wimbledon Tube Station. We are also fortunate to be right next to Merton Park Tram stop. Other Transport links include 3 bus routes which are the 152 to New Malden. 163 from Wimbledon to Morden and lastely the 164 which travels from Wimbledon to Sutton Station, right outside our nursery. There are other routes from Wimbledon that include excellent transport links to Surbiton and Kingston using the 53, 131 and also Putney which has its own 93 bus route from North Cheam to Putney. There are more routes servicing, Tooting, Mitcham, Balham, Clapham, Streatham and Richmond. We do also have a car park for those employees wanting to drive.

Our Bright Horizons Wimbledon Nursery is Ofsted rated 'Good', and offers a children's kitchen, dedicated ICT room, and four large, individual outdoor learning areas for the children to explore!

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures through interactive play, reading, and activities to encourage curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
