Role Description
We are looking for a proactive and collaborative DEI Programme Manager to support in developing and implementing the Mediabrands UK/I DEI programme. This role will help bring clarity, alignment, and momentum to DEI efforts across teams and departments, ensuring consistency in messaging and approach.
As a key point of coordination, the DEI Programme Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders (including OPEN networks, Comms, and leadership) and external partners to support the delivery of DEI initiatives. The role will contribute to shaping the local DEI plan in alignment with global and regional DEI priorities while ensuring that activities are practical, impactful, and well-communicated.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the communication and rollout of the UK/I DEI strategy, working closely with the Head of Talent Development & Inclusion and the Chief Talent Officer, under the guidance of the Head of Culture & Inclusion for EMEA.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as the OPEN network leads, the Comms team, regional and global DE&I teams, and the wider Talent team.
- Assist the TA team in embedding inclusive hiring practices, such as researching diverse sourcing channels and supporting inclusive branding efforts.
- Help implement DEI best practices by coordinating diversity data tracking, supporting recruitment training, and maintaining relationships with external DEI vendors.
- Work with colleagues to help identify and support development programmes for underrepresented groups, contributing to logistics and communication.

- Maintain transparent and standardised documentation for OPEN network activities and help facilitate the setup of new networks where needed.
- Support internal and external DEI communications by coordinating with the Comms and Design teams on storytelling, content creation, and event promotion.
- Assist the Talent Ops team with collecting and organising DEI metrics and reports for key internal stakeholders.
- Track the progress of DEI programmes, support the evaluation of their impact, and help summarise key outcomes and learnings.
- Create and own the annual events schedule, with the support of our Open ERGs, Head of Communications and Head of TD&I.
- Coordinate logistics and planning for client-facing DEI engagements such as roundtables, summits, or collaborative initiatives.
- Support the implementation of EMEA-level DEI initiatives by localising and coordinating their rollout in the UK/I.
- Maintain relationships with external DEI partners and associations (e.g. IPA, MEFA, WACL), and help coordinate activities or events involving them.
- Act as a first point of contact for internal DEI queries and requests, helping to prioritise and route them appropriately.
- Stay informed about DEI industry trends and events; share relevant updates or insights with the wider team to support learning and inspiration.
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in a people-focused role within DEI, Talent, or employee engagement; preferably in a fast-paced, creative, media, technology, or communications environment.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with diverse cultural groups, with a strong understanding of cultural sensitivities and the ability to navigate complex DEI issues with empathy and respect.
- Strong project coordination skills, with experience supporting or managing multi-stakeholder initiatives and meeting deadlines.
- Whilst we have an on-site event team, some experience of planning events would be preferable.
- Experience contributing to or supporting the delivery of business-aligned DEI or people programmes.
- Comfortable working within a complex, matrixed organisation and collaborating with cross-functional and global/regional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel), with strong attention to detail in written documents and presentations.
- Familiarity with HR information systems and using basic data insights to inform reporting or measure programme impact.
