About The Role

As a Midweight Art Director at Ogilvy Health, you’ll be the creative force turning client briefs into original, impactful visual ideas that resonate with healthcare professionals, patients, and consumers. Working closely with copywriters and the wider creative team, you'll develop concepts that make an instant, positive impact by translating complex scientific data into compelling, human-centric visual stories.

We’re looking for a highly collaborative creative who thinks beyond traditional layouts to craft ideas that live across every channel—from digital and social to high-science medical education. You'll not only support the team in delivering world-class work for our clients but also bring your creative energy to new business pitches and proactive ideas. We'd love to see examples of the work you're able to share in your portfolio!

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute strong visual concepts and campaigns under the guidance of our Creative Directors.
  • Manage your own projects efficiently, ensuring all creative work is delivered on brief and on time.
  • Translate complex scientific concepts, data, and patient insights into clear, engaging, and visually stunning creative work.
  • Collaborate fluidly with our strategy, medical writing, account services, and production teams.
  • Stay ahead of the curve with the latest design trends, digital innovations, and platform capabilities.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience as a creative within a Healthcare Marketing/Advertising agency.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases conceptual thinking, beautiful execution, and multi-disciplinary work across health, wellness, or pharma.
  • The ability to think beyond the brief and generate innovative, strategic visual concepts that work seamlessly across digital, social, and print.
  • A positive, collaborative, and contagious spirit—you’re a natural team player who thrives when working with others.
  • Excellent design and art direction skills, with a keen eye for detail, typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
  • A solid command of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) with skills in Premier/After Effects being a plus.
  • A good understanding of the production process (digital, print, and video) and how to work within budget and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ABPI code).
  • A talent for creating visual content that simplifies complex health messaging without losing its scientific integrity, inspiring clients and improving the patient/HCP experience.

Benefits & Culture

At Ogilvy Health, you'll be part of a non-hierarchical, eclectic team united by a shared commitment to doing the best work of our lives (its one of our values!). Beyond client work, you'll have opportunities to engage with our vibrant culture and social teams, and contribute to our fantastic DEI initiatives, championing diversity across our agency and industry.

We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including:

  • 25 days annual leave, with the option to purchase up to an extra 5 days per year, plus your birthday off and a paid volunteering day
  • Generous enhanced parental leave policies
  • A robust pension scheme (up to 17.5% total contributions after probation)
  • Choice of Private Medical Cover (Bupa from day one), Dental cover, or a monthly £45 leisure allowance for your health & wellbeing
  • A fantastic Employee Assistance Programme (Telus) offering support, advice, and specialist counselling
  • Help at Hand: quick, free access to a remote GP, mental health support, physio, or a medical second opinion
  • Free 1-2-1 Coaching through Thrive Partners for professional or personal growth
  • A comprehensive Learning & Development programme to support your career trajectory

At Ogilvy, our people are at the heart of what we do: a creative agency that sparks game-changing ideas across culture and business through collaboration, integrity, and a celebration of self-expression.

We believe in building powerful teams with purpose - and we relentlessly curate transformative initiatives that make our commitment to fairness, and equity a reality.

Our ultimate mission is to leave a positive impact on the world, creating a better future for all, while supporting and uplifting the global communities we serve. This is central to our mantra of Borderless Creativity.
