Corporate Tax Partner - Leading the London office

London | Up to £160,000 + excellent benefits | Permanent

An established professional services firm is seeking a senior Corporate Tax leader to take ownership of its Corporate Tax practice in their London office.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax Partner, or an established Director ready to step into a Partner-level leadership role, to lead an established team, strengthen client relationships and expand the practice's advisory offering.

With an existing client base and a strong compliance foundation, the successful individual will have the opportunity to shape strategy, develop new business and build a broader, higher-value Corporate Tax service for ambitious SME clients. Working closely with senior leadership and colleagues across complementary service lines, you will play a central role in the practice's commercial performance, technical standards and continued development.

THE ROLE

• Lead the London Corporate Tax practice, setting strategic direction, priorities and service delivery standards.

• Take ownership of the London Corporate Tax client portfolio, establishing targets, managing performance and delivering sustainable growth.

• Build and strengthen relationships with key Corporate Tax clients, acting as a trusted senior adviser.

• Provide clear, commercially focused advice on UK Corporate Tax matters, particularly where technical issues intersect with wider business decisions.

• Lead complex Corporate Tax engagements and advisory assignments, maintaining high standards of technical quality, compliance and commercial judgement.

• Oversee senior-level reviews, risk management, deadlines and delivery standards across the London team.

• Develop the practice's advisory capabilities, broadening its offering beyond compliance to meet the needs of growing businesses.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the firm's growth strategy and client base.

• Lead, coach and develop the London Corporate Tax team, building technical capability, confidence and consistency.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification, with significant post-qualification experience in Corporate Tax.

• A strong track record in a senior Corporate Tax position, ideally at Partner level or as a Director ready to assume Partner-level responsibility.

• Extensive knowledge of UK Corporate Tax, including the ability to lead complex compliance and advisory engagements.

• Proven experience managing senior client relationships and delivering practical, commercially grounded tax advice.

• Credible business development experience, including winning new work, developing existing accounts or contributing to market-facing initiatives.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching, mentoring and developing a team.

• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage a client portfolio, set priorities and contribute to practice performance.

• An interest in technology-enabled service delivery and improving the efficiency and quality of client work.
