Technical Manager - c£65,000 plus 10% Bonus - Wembley

Overview: Join a fast-growing, award-winning food manufacturer, supplying premium products to major retailers, hospitality providers, and well-known food brands nationwide. My client is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee food safety and quality systems at their ever-expanding site.

They have been committed to creating outstanding food products using traditional techniques and the finest ingredients. With a focus on doing things properly — with care, integrity, and pride for decades.

You'll play a key role in leading the site’s food safety and quality assurance strategy, ensuring high standards are upheld across all areas of production and compliance.

What will I be doing?

• Develop and execute QA/QC strategies that align with business objectives.
• Collaborate with production teams to monitor KPIs and enhance quality metrics.
• Lead investigations and drive root cause analysis for complaints and non-conformances.
• Maintain and evolve HACCP systems, ensuring staff are well trained and compliant.
• As Technical Manager, you will oversee food safety protocols, from metal detection to daily quality reporting.
• Lead audit preparation and execution (BRCGS, customer, and regulatory).
• Foster a culture of hygiene, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or a related discipline.
• The successful Technical Manager will need substantial experience in food manufacturing, ideally in a technical or QA role.
• HACCP Level 3 certification or higher (required).
• Lead Auditor qualification (preferred).
• Solid understanding of retailer standards and Codes of Practice.
• Strong analytical skills and experience managing microbiological and food safety data.
• Confident communicator with ability to influence cross-functional teams.
