IP (Brands) Associate
Opportunity for an IP Associate to join an international Top 30 firm in London.
The Firm
My client is a leading independent law firm with an outstanding reputation for complex, high-profile work across the London market.
The firm has a particularly strong Intellectual Property practice, recognised as top tier in the Legal 500 for trade marks, copyright and design in London, and advises an impressive international client base across a wide range of sectors.
The Opportunity
The firm's integrated Brands team advises clients throughout the full lifecycle of their intellectual property, from the creation and protection of new brands through to commercialisation, portfolio management and enforcement.
The team is now looking to hire an IP Associate to work across a broad range of soft IP advisory and disputes matters.
The new hire will have exposure to trade marks, designs and copyright work, alongside the opportunity to develop strong relationships with clients and take responsibility for matters as their experience develops.
This will include:
- Advising on trade mark and design strategy, clearance and protection
- Managing domestic and international IP portfolios
- Worldwide filing and prosecution work
- Advising on monitoring and enforcement strategies
- Handling trade mark, design and copyright disputes
- Registry disputes before the UKIPO and other international IP offices
- Working closely with Partners and other members of the wider IP team
- Supporting client development and wider business development initiatives
Required
- Qualified IP solicitor with between 2 - 4 PQE
- Strong experience across soft IP, particularly trade marks and designs
- Experience of trade mark clearance, prosecution, portfolio management and enforcement
- Knowledge of the UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO
