Purpose and scope
About Us
RCP Events is a 4-star events venue known for creating memorable, high-quality event experiences in the heart of London. From high-profile medical and corporate conferences to elegant evening receptions and creative content production, our spaces support a wide variety of ambitious events. We are now looking for an AV Technician to bring energy, technical expertise and a calm, customer-focused approach to our busy technical team.
This is a varied and hands-on role at the centre of our audio-visual, technical and media services (AVTMS) operation. You will play a key part in delivering professional technical support across meetings, conferences, webinars, filming, editing and live event production, helping ensure every client and delegate has a seamless experience.
About You
You will be a confident, practical and solutions-focused technician who enjoys working with people as much as with technology. You will have a strong eye for detail, take pride in delivering excellent service, and stay calm under pressure when supporting busy live events. You will bring technical knowledge across AV systems and content production, along with the flexibility to support everything from boardroom meetings and webinars to large-scale conferences and creative filming projects.
We are looking for someone who can bring:
- Experience in a customer-facing environment, with the confidence to support clients, speakers and colleagues professionally
- A background in video production, live events, technical theatre, creative arts or a similar technical environment
- A broad working knowledge of AV disciplines, including audio, projection, video, IT and lighting
- A relevant technical or creative arts qualification, or equivalent professional or voluntary experience
- Experience working in a venue, conference environment, production setting or content creation organisation
If you enjoy variety, problem-solving and being part of a team that makes events happen, we would love to hear from you.
Closing date: 25 September 2026
Interviewing date: TBC
