Senior Java Developer

I am currently looking for a SME Java Developer to join an up and coming team within the world of fintech where you as a senior member of that team will take charge of all back-end duties. Being the Java subject matter expert, you will be responsible for liaising with other senior figures of other teams and you’ll be working in line with the Head of Technology. The ideal candidate will most importantly be able to step out from just pure development and think about the environment the systems run in, to help setup and maintain infrastructure to support the clients’ systems. Your work will as a result have a genuine impact in the business so your presence will certainly be felt. The role would ideally call for five years’ experience as a Software Developer, however if you do lack the 5 years but have had extensive experience working as a developer within finance then certainly still feel confident that this opportunity is for you. As a senior member you will also upskill the more junior members of the team and will do so through mentoring and paired programming. If you're looking to develop that leadership skill whilst also being the driving force behind the many exciting projects they have on then this role will be for you. The collaborative nature of the team requires a hybrid working model with a need for two days in the office. Whilst core hours are required flexibility can be offered allowing you to start early or finish late whatever suits your working world. Your hard work will also be rewarded with a bonus of up to 15% and life assurance of up to 4 times your salary and upon a years’ service shares are also up for offer. If interested, please reach out.
