KPI Education is working closely with an inclusive and welcoming all-through school in Kenley , seeking an enthusiastic and committed Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026 .
This role provides graduates with the opportunity to work with pupils across different age groups and abilities, developing an understanding of how children learn, progress and respond to different forms of support.
What You Will Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
- Supporting children and young people to engage confidently with their learning.
- Assisting teachers during lessons and helping pupils remain focused and motivated.
- Supporting literacy, numeracy and other targeted learning activities.
- Working with pupils who have additional learning needs or SEND .
- Helping pupils develop independence, organisation and effective study habits.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
- Building trusting and professional relationships with pupils.
- Supporting classroom activities and preparing learning materials.
- Providing encouragement to pupils who may lack confidence in their academic abilities.
- Communicating observations and pupil progress to teachers and members of the support team.
- Contributing to the school's inclusive and supportive environment.
Who We Are Looking For
This opportunity would suit a graduate who is enthusiastic about working with children and young people and is keen to gain genuine school-based experience.
You should have:
- A degree 2:1 or above is desirable.
- A genuine interest in education and supporting pupil development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, patient and understanding approach.
- The confidence to work with pupils across a range of ages.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to adapt your approach according to individual pupil needs.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- A professional and reliable approach to working within a school environment.
Previous experience working with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, childcare, youth work or similar settings would be advantageous, although graduates without formal experience are encouraged to apply.
