QTS SCIENCE TEACHER

The Role:

As a Science Teacher you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of concepts while encouraging a love for learning. Your role will involve planning, teaching, and assessing lessons, as well as working with other staff to create a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
• Support the development of science resources and contribute to curriculum planning.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment.
• Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and team meetings.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience for all students.
• Encourage students to develop a passion for science, while promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A degree in Science or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
• A passion for Science and the ability to inspire and engage students.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• A commitment to student welfare and personal development.
