Nanny

A warm and organised South Norwood family are seeking a self employed, professional and experienced Ofsted-registered nanny to care for their two lovely daughters, aged 3 and 1. This is a temporary role from March 30th to September, when their eldest is due to start school.

The family requires care from 8am–6pm, 4 days per week (to be confirmed, but possibly Monday-Thursday), and is offering a salary of £19 - £22 gross per hour.

For this live-out role, the ideal candidate will be calm, nurturing, and professional, as well as proactive, tidy, and able to plan ahead. A full driving licence and confidence driving daily is preferred — non-drivers will however be considered. The nanny may use the family car (manual), though use of a nanny’s own car may be considered for the right candidate (free parking is available).

This position is primarily sole charge and will include planning, organising, and facilitating outings and activities for the girls, supporting daily routines, preparing meals and snacks, and maintaining a tidy, organised environment for the children.

The youngest girl is a sweet, easy-going baby who enjoys outings and being on the go. The eldest is incredibly friendly, full of personality and joy.

The successful candidate must feel confident supporting a child with additional medical needs. Their eldest daughter is currently recovering from her second bone marrow transplant and has a Hickman/central line, with medication administered via gastric PEG. No prior PEG experience is required — full training will be provided.

Excellent communication is key, and this down-to-earth family is keen to build a positive and respectful working relationship with an independent, thoughtful nanny who feels comfortable taking initiative.
