Claims Manager (Specialty Lines)
44713
Are you a specialist Claims leader with a passion for complex, global Specialty risks?
We’re working with a high-growth, internationally focused MGA & Syndicate to appoint a Claims Manager – Specialty Lines , a pivotal hire within a lean, high-performing team.
This is not a traditional claims role. It’s an opportunity to take real ownership across a diverse and technically challenging portfolio spanning PV&T, Energy and Marine , with scope to expand into adjacent Specialty classes as the platform continues to evolve.
You’ll be operating at the sharp end of the business – handling complex, high-value claims across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with Underwriting, and playing a key role in shaping how claims contributes commercially and strategically to the wider organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the investigation, evaluation and resolution of complex PV&T, Energy & Marine claims
- Acting as a key partner to Underwriters on large losses, coverage considerations and portfolio insights
- Driving a proactive, solution-led claims approach across international markets
- Contributing to claims strategy, process improvement and operational build-out
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members as the function grows
- Maintaining strong relationships with brokers, clients and external service providers
We’re looking for someone who:
? Has strong experience across Energy and/or Marine claims within the London Market or international platforms
? Is comfortable handling complex, multi-jurisdictional losses with significant exposure
? Brings a commercial mindset – able to balance technical claims expertise with business impact
? Has the confidence to operate in a lean environment with real ownership and visibility
? Communicates effectively with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
? Understands the regulatory and legal landscape across global Specialty lines
This is a genuine opportunity to step into a role where you’re not just managing claims – you’re helping shape how the function operates within a growing, ambitious business.
If you’re looking for something with more autonomy, more visibility, and a closer link to underwriting strategy, this could be worth a conversation.
