Production & Supply Chain Planner - What You'll be Doing:
Sitting at the centre of the supply chain, the Production & Supply Chain Planner ensures product and packaging availability across all markets by balancing demand, capacity, and inventory. The role works cross-functionally with Operations, Logistics, Sales, and Quality to deliver production plans that meet customer service targets while managing stock and cost efficiency. The Planner is responsible for accurate scheduling, proactive risk management, and data-driven decision-making that supports the company's reputation for quality, reliability, and global reach.
Production Planning and Scheduling
Production schedules delivered accurately and on time
Planned versus actual production alignment (target >95%)
Downtime minimised through proactive scheduling and coordination
Inventory and Stock Management
Inventory accuracy in ERP system maintained above 98%
Stock levels managed within agreed days of cover
Obsolete or excess stock reduced annually
Supply Chain and Supplier Performance
On-time in-full (OTIF) delivery of raw materials and packaging above 95%
Supplier delivery performance tracked and reported monthly
Corrective actions implemented for repeated supply risks
Logistics and Freight Coordination
Finished goods dispatched OTIF to customers and distributors
Freight costs monitored against budget with variances explained
Third-party providers delivering consistently to service standards
Cross-functional Collaboration
Positive feedback from Operations, Logistics, Sales, Finance, and Quality Assurance on accuracy, communication, and responsiveness
Proactive collaboration with Sales & Marketing to manage residual or promotional stock
Continuous Improvement and Compliance
Contribution to at least one process or efficiency improvement annually
Compliance with policies, WHS standards, and export/regulatory requirements
Active support for sustainability and waste reduction initiatives
Production & Supply Chain Planner - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management or a related discipline (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in production planning, supply chain, or a related role within manufacturing, FMCG, or beverage industry (wine industry desirable)
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external partners
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
