Project Manager - Infrastructure (Systems & Network)...
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex system, network, and cloud infrastructure initiatives across global environments.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in network architecture, system operations, and infrastructure deployment, with proven experience managing cross-functional engineering projects that demand high availability, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, including data center expansion, network upgrades, cloud migration, and system rollouts.
- Collaborate closely with system, network, and DevOps teams to define project scope, technical requirements, and implementation timelines.
- Plan, track, and report project milestones, risks, dependencies, and budgets.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of servers, network equipment, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Ensure infrastructure reliability, redundancy, performance, and security standards are met.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers (e.g., ISPs, CDN, cloud platforms) to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Support global infrastructure operations including disaster recovery, monitoring, and change management.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and post-implementation reviews.
- Participate in technical evaluations and assist in future infrastructure roadmap planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure or network projects in an enterprise or service provider environment.
- Strong understanding of:
- Networking: TCP/IP, routing/switching, VPN, load balancing, firewalls, CDN, WAN/LAN.
- Systems: Linux/Windows server administration, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Cloud & Automation: AWS, Azure, or GCP; Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
- Security: Access control, encryption, DDoS mitigation, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience with change control, capacity planning, and incident management processes (e.g., ITIL).
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, capable of translating technical details into business context.
Nice to Have:
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master).
- Hands-on experience in global network optimization or multi-region infrastructure rollout.
- Knowledge of video streaming infrastructure (Wowza, WebRTC, RTMP) or media delivery networks is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps / CI/CD pipelines for system deployments.
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, and alerting frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
