Ramp Technician - ML066
Job Summary
The ramp technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of vehicle ramps fitted on all buses in the Metroline Travel and Metroline West fleets.
Main responsibilities
- Ramp inspections;
- Ramp strip down and repair;
- Collating and planning work;
- Liaising with garage engineers;
- Updating ramp database.
Essential criteria
- Technically adept;
- Demonstrable experience in an engineering background;
- Computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Outlook;
- Sound mechanical knowledge of PCV requirements.

- Ability to prioritise workload to meet requirements;
- Flexibility to change priorities and resources quickly to meet the needs of the garage;
- Ability to work within a team and independently;
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
- Demonstrate effective listening and questioning to check understanding;
- Works to understand customer needs to meet and exceed expectations;
- Establish and maintain customer relationships.
Hours of work
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
