Introduction To Team

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.

If you're an experienced employee relations (ER) professional looking to deepen your expertise and take on a broad, hands-on caseload across the UK and Ireland, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be part of a close-knit, collaborative ER team with strong regional expertise and close partnership with Legal, HR Operations, Benefits, and Payroll. You'll play a central role in how Expedia Group supports its people through employee relations, performance management, and organisational change.

You'll get exposure to complex and varied ER work, meaningful coaching oppaortunities with senior leaders, and the chance to contribute to global ER projects — all while growing your career at a global travel company.

This role is heavily focused on employee relations, covering ER casework, performance management support, and reorganisation/redundancy support, with the opportunity to contribute to broader projects and global initiatives across the ER team.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the central point of contact for employee relations issues across business areas in the UK and Ireland, ensuring individual employee concerns are heard, issues are addressed, and employees are treated fairly.
  • Manage a varied caseload of ER matters — including conduct, performance, grievance, and disciplinary cases — through to resolution, escalating to our in-house Legal team where appropriate.
  • Coach and support people managers and leaders on performance management topics, helping them drive performance excellence and address underperformance early.
  • Support organisational change initiatives, including reorganisations and redundancy processes, partnering with business leaders, HRBPs, and the wider ER team.
  • Keep current on UK (and Ireland, where applicable) employment law requirements and internal policy, applying this knowledge to mitigate risk and guide consistent, compliant decision-making.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business, offering pragmatic solutions aligned to business challenges and organisational goals.
  • Identify trends in ER casework and provide insights that support proactive interventions, manager coaching, and policy improvement.
  • Contribute to ER projects and global opportunities across the wider ER team, helping to improve processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Understand key performance indicators related to your own work and the role metrics play in defining success (e.g., efficiency and effectiveness of case handling).
  • Stays curious about emerging AI tools and applies them thoughtfully to day-to-day tasks, using AI literacy to drive efficiencies, streamline case documentation and reporting, and free up time to focus on higher-value, judgement-based ER work.
  • Use regional trends, themes and case data to build a compelling narrative for the business, translating patterns into actionable insights that drive proactive interventions and targeted support before issues escalate.

Experience and qualifications:

  • You have around 3–5 years of experience in HR with a meaningful focus on employee relations, ideally including case management, investigations, and performance management support.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field (Master's preferred), or equivalent professional experience.
  • You have a solid working knowledge of UK employment law and practice, and you're comfortable applying it in day-to-day case decisions; exposure to Irish employment law or other markets is a plus.
  • You're building your ability to manage ER cases with increasing autonomy, and you know when and how to engage our in-house Legal team on more complex or higher-risk matters.
  • You're a confident coach able to guide and influence people managers through difficult conversations and performance challenges.
  • You communicate clearly and collaboratively, with a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to solve problems and remove roadblocks for the people you support.
  • You're comfortable working with data pulling together basic trend analysis and metric reporting to support your casework and stakeholder conversations.
  • You're proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, and collaboration.
  • Experience working with multi-national or remote teams is a plus.
  • Please note that this role is only available in the following location: London , in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week
