Partnership Director

Spacehive
London

Do you get a kick out of landing a sale? Are you meticulous about converting leads into deals? Spacehive, an award-winning tech for good company, is looking for a data-driven Partnership Director to optimise its pipeline and deliver quality sales results. If you are excited about driving growth at a crucial moment in the company's journey while helping to deliver social impact in communities across the UK and Europe, we want to hear from you.

About Spacehive:

Spacehive makes it easy for people to improve their local area. We build technology to help crowdfund local projects that communities want; from spruced up playgrounds and new street markets, to city farms and learning hubs. We've helped raise more than £35 million to support local communities.

When local communities have an idea and start a project, Spacehive connects it to exclusive funds from companies, councils and foundations that want to help bring communities to life. We work with over 50 client partners from across the UK, including the Mayor of London, BT, Veolia and Arts Council England.

We have the highest success rate of any crowdfunding platform in the UK (85% success rate, compared to a 22% industry average). Our aim is to help deliver the bright, transformational local project ideas that make communities happy, proud and prosperous. This video ( features project creators from the Spacehive programme in London discussing the impact that their ideas have had on their community.

Spacehive is an anti-racist, anti-discriminatory organisation. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people, people with disabilities and people from lower income and diverse educational backgrounds who may be under-represented in our organisation. If you need any part of our recruitment process adapted or information provided in alternative formats, please get in touch and we will facilitate this.

The role:

The Partnership Director will sit in the Spacehive Business Development team and will be responsible for managing a pipeline of leads from acquisition through to conversion, and owning revenue targets. Spacehive provides its clients with an intuitive SaaS fundraising platform that enables them to collaborate with communities and deliver social impact.

The winning candidate will be able to captivate potential clients with engaging pitches and an easy communication style, and develop tailored proposals for Spacehive's SaaS products that set out how Spacehive can help them achieve stated social impact and community development goals.

The Partnership Director will nurture leads through a pipeline and possess excellent negotiation skills to get deals across the line in a timely manner. Using insights gained from pipeline analytics, they will continuously improve the sales process, creating efficiencies that speed up the conversion of leads into sales to hit and exceed income targets.

The winning candidate will be tenacious, meticulous and laser-focused on landing deals and helping Spacehive turbo-charge its growth. Previous sales experience is essential; SaaS technology or public sector sales experience desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with marketing colleagues to refine outreach.
  • Working alongside the team to enhance the quality and impact of sales analytics.

  • Self-motivated, with a passion for community engagement and development.
  • Familiarity with social impact and tech-for-good platforms.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
  • Being part of a nimble business in a rapid phase of evolution and growth.
