Floor Manager

The Italian Greyhound is a beautifully designed restaurant and bar in the heart of Marylebone, looking for a confident and charismatic Floor Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of service, where you’ll be a visible and welcoming face of the business. As part of an independent group, you’ll enjoy exposure and opportunity beyond a typical floor role, helping shape service, culture, and guest experiences across the site.

What you’ll do as Floor Manager:

• Lead the floor with confidence, energy, and attention to detail during busy services.

• Deliver warm, elegant, and memorable hospitality to every guest.

• Build strong relationships with regulars, corporate clients, and event organisers.

• Run motivated and organised team briefings, setting clear expectations for service.

• Provide ‘in the moment’ coaching on the floor, supporting team members to grow their knowledge and confidence.

• Support the management team with daily operations, from planning shifts to executing private events.

• Motivate, train, and support the FOH team to uphold high standards.

• Contribute ideas and feedback to continuously improve service and guest experience.

What we’re looking for:

• A natural host with excellent communication skills and an approachable, professional manner.

• Strong experience in a supervisory or management role within quality hospitality.

• Confidence in handling a diverse guest mix, from corporate groups to tourists.

• Hands-on leadership style, with a passion for being on the floor and leading by example.

• Ability to inspire and develop a team through coaching, training, and structured briefings.

• Adaptability and a proactive approach in an independent, multi-faceted business.
