VP of Marketing (UK & EU)
Don’t meet every requirement? Apply anyway! Studies show that women or people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every requirement. If you think you’re slightly underqualified, don't be discouraged to apply. You can help make Crowdcube a better place.
As an Equal Opportunity Employer we are committed to building a diverse team that feels valued. We do not discriminate based on race, colour, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, age, religion, mental or physical disability, or any way you represent yourself. We strongly believe diversity makes for more successful teams and it's essential for success.
Job Outline:
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic VP of Marketing to lead Crowdcube’s marketing efforts across the UK and EU. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving both demand-side (investor) marketing to scale traffic, conversion and investor engagement and supply-side (B2B) marketing to support commercial growth, across Crowdcube’s marketplace.
As a member of the senior leadership team, you will own the marketing vision, shape our brand, and lead a team through an exciting period of evolution and opportunity. You’ll combine data-driven decision-making with creativity, and bring the experience to lead through change, inspire high performance, and deliver measurable impact.
What you’ll be doing:
Strategy & Leadership
Own and evolve Crowdcube’s full-funnel marketing strategy (Supply & Demand) across the UK and EU, aligning with business goals and company vision.
Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to company-wide decision-making and strategy development.
Navigate change confidently and positively; setting the tone for adaptability, resilience, and clear communication during periods of transformation.
Platform marketing
Lead B2C marketing initiatives to maximise traffic, drive conversion and increase investor engagement on the platform.
Evaluate and implement new and innovative marketing activities to drive platform activity and user/investor growth
Lead the development of marketing best practice guidance for companies using Crowdcube’s platform and services
Demand Generation
Lead the development and execution of an integrated B2B marketing strategy in close partnership with sales leadership to drive pipeline growth and company acquisition.
Deliver effective lead generation and nurture campaigns, ensuring high-quality deal flow for the commercial team.
Brand, PR & Communications
Champion the Crowdcube brand, ensuring consistent positioning, messaging and creative execution across all markets and channels.
Lead PR and communications initiatives to raise awareness of Crowdcube and educate the market on the changing landscape.
Manage external agencies and partners.
Team Leadership & Development
Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and creativity.
Establish clear objectives, encourage cross-functional collaboration, and support ongoing professional development.
Effectively allocate resources across functions and regions to maximise impact.
Data, Reporting & Impact
Own and improve closed-loop analytics to understand and communicate marketing’s contribution to pipeline, revenue, and platform growth.
Report regularly to the senior leadership team on performance, insights, and opportunities for optimisation.
Use data to continuously test, learn and evolve marketing efforts.
What we're looking for:
Extensive experience in driving traffic, conversion, engagement and maximising LTV of customers
Experience in B2B marketing roles, ideally within a high-growth tech, fintech or marketplace business.
Strong experience navigating change, setting direction, and leading through ambiguity.
Experience developing and executing PR strategies and managing external communications partners.
Strong analytical mindset, with experience in marketing attribution and performance measurement.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting to and working closely with c-suite members.
Track record of building and leading high-performing, collaborative teams.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
What we are offering:
We like to nurture talent and ensure members of our team develop and hone their skills through training, attending conferences and subscriptions to online courses. We’re passionate and hard-working, and we take care of our team:
