The opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Manager - North for Private Clients & Estates you will be responsible for handling a portfolio of HNW and Agriculture/Estate property claims from investigation to settlement, ensuring company standards are met in relation to all technical and operational policies and procedures, including data protection and information security.
In this role there will be additional emphasis on growing the business for Private Clients & Estates in the Scotland Region, and knowledge of existing and potential contacts will be an advantage.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- The investigation, negotiation and settlement of HNW & Agriculture/Estate property claims in a professional manner
- Proactive liaison with all stakeholders, including the insured, insurers and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims
- The production of quality reports and other means of communication, in compliance with our professional standards and internal guidelines in accordance with agreed timescales and service level agreements
- Active participation in McLarens’ business development programme, building individual reputation and raising the Company profile
- Network, identify and facilitate opportunities for business growth
- Undertaking projects and other ad hoc work as required
- Assisting in other postcode areas during a surge period
About you - Knowledge and Experience
Successful candidates must be professionally qualified and have gained significant experience in the High Net Worth loss adjusting sector, demonstrating a focus on quality, communication and organisational skills. They will have proven capability in negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving, coupled with strong stakeholder management. An ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative. A proven, positive reputation in the Broker and Insurer market would be advantageous.
Due to the geographic coverage of this role, travel will be required.
