Are you a passionate and inspiring Teacher of English with a desire to foster a love of language and literature in young minds? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual, including ECTs , to join our thriving English department in a sixth form college in Kensington & Chelsea.

We have a strong track record of achievement, with our students consistently achieving excellent results in A Level examinations and progressing to top universities.
About the English Department:
The English department is a dynamic and supportive team with a shared commitment to fostering a love of English in our students. We encourage students to engage critically with texts, develop their analytical and communication skills, and express their creativity through writing and discussion.
About the Role:
- Teach English Language and/or English Literature at A Level.
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Support students in preparing for their A Level English examinations.
- Provide guidance and feedback on students' written work and coursework.
- Foster a love of English and inspire students to pursue their interests in literature and language.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the college.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent (or is eligible to apply).
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in English Language and/or English Literature.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching English and a commitment to student success.
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the A Level English specifications.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
