After School Nanny

Ref: 2038, After-school Nanny / Manny – Lambeth, SW2

A family based in Lambeth, SW2 is looking for a reliable, caring and proactive French-speaking or Mandarin-speaking after-school nanny or manny to care for their 2.5-year-old child. The family is open to both female and male candidates. The role will start in September or October.

Children
One child aged 2.5 years old.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday.
The family can be flexible on the exact start and finish times for an excellent candidate.
Typical hours could be 3:00pm to 7:00pm or 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
More hours can be offered if the family is not able to find someone suitable.

Salary
£19 to £22 gross per hour.
From £380 to £440 gross per week, based on 20 hours per week.
Weekly salary may be higher if additional hours are agreed.

Start Date
September / October.

Pets
The family has two cats.

Role Overview
The nanny / manny will be responsible for the child’s afternoon routine, including childcare, play, meals and age-appropriate activities. The role is focused on childcare and child-related duties only.

Main Responsibilities

Nanny Duties
Collect the child from nursery / school if required.
Prepare and serve the child’s snack.
Prepare and serve the child’s dinner.
Plan age-appropriate activities.
Play with the child.
Support the child’s evening routine.
Encourage the child’s development through play.
Speak French or Mandarin with the child.
Keep the child safe and engaged.

Child-related Housekeeping
Tidy up after the child.
Keep the child’s play areas tidy.
Wash and tidy the child’s dishes after meals.
Keep the child’s belongings organised.
No deep cleaning.

Requirements
Experience with toddlers.
French-speaking or Mandarin-speaking.
Reliable, caring and proactive.
Able to support a calm after-school routine.
Comfortable working in a home with cats.
Must be comfortable with pets.
Male and female candidates welcome.
