Disrepair Surveyor
Site-Based (Limited Remote Working) Mileage Claimable Start ASAP
We're currently seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to support a high-demand caseload within a local authority or housing organisation. This is a site-based contract role offering £350-£400 per day (umbrella) , with the opportunity to make a major impact in resolving critical housing disrepair issues.
Key Responsibilities:-
Manage a large disrepair caseload (1000+ cases in total), progressing each one individually to resolution.

Conduct site inspections , identifying and reporting on issues such as damp and mould , structural faults, and other property-related disrepair.

Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for action.

Attend court hearings where required (rare but possible).

Ensure compliance with HHSRS and/or CIH standards and housing legislation.

Liaise with legal teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve cases efficiently.

Proven experience in disrepair surveying , ideally within social housing or local authority environments.

Strong knowledge of damp & mould diagnosis , HHSRS , and housing compliance.

Hold a relevant qualification or membership (e.g. HHSRS certified , CIH , or equivalent).

Able to attend court if necessary and confidently represent technical findings.

Basic DBS check required (can be processed prior to start).

Full UK driving licence - mileage is claimable.
