Corporate Associate (US Qualified)

I'm currently working on a rare London-based opportunity for a US-qualified corporate associate to join a top-tier Emerging Companies practice at a highly regarded international firm.


This is a role for lawyers who enjoy sitting close to founders, investors and fast-growing businesses — and who want exposure that goes well beyond narrow execution work.


The practice advises innovative, venture-backed companies across the full lifecycle, from formation and early-stage funding through to scale-ups, cross-border expansion, exits and public markets. Clients span technology, life sciences and other high-growth sectors, alongside VC funds and private investors.


A key differentiator here is the US-facing platform. The London team plays an active role in helping UK and international companies expand into the US, including:


- US subsidiary set-ups
- US venture and growth capital raises
- Acting for US investors and portfolio companies
- Cross-border M&A and restructurings
This is not a back-office support role. The successful associate will have real responsibility, early client exposure and the opportunity to help shape a growing US offering within the firm. There's a strong emphasis on entrepreneurial thinking, business development and long-term progression.


Who this suits:
- US-qualified lawyers (JD from a strong US law school)
- Experience at a US law firm advising emerging companies and/or investors
- Solid corporate grounding (VC and M&A focus)
- Commercial, confident and comfortable working autonomously
