Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver engaging History lessons in line with the school's curriculum and policies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation and collaboration.
  • Plan and organize educational trips, outings, and events to enhance students' understanding of historical topics.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies, incorporating a variety of resources and technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to History education.
  • Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching History at the primary or secondary level.
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Enthusiasm for the subject matter and a passion for inspiring young minds.
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Dedication to professional growth and a commitment to staying updated on educational trends and best practices.

Salary 

Paid to scale on MPS/UPS
