Responsibilities
- Create and deliver engaging History lessons in line with the school's curriculum and policies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation and collaboration.
- Plan and organize educational trips, outings, and events to enhance students' understanding of historical topics.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies, incorporating a variety of resources and technology.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to History education.
- Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience teaching History at the primary or secondary level.
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Enthusiasm for the subject matter and a passion for inspiring young minds.
- Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
