Key Responsibilities
Lead consultation with landowners and representatives, negotiating agreements and managing land access.
Oversee suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery — taking corrective action when needed.
Maintain and report on property cost estimates, risks, and opportunities — applying professional judgement to mitigate issues.
Manage land and property assets throughout the project lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal.
Ensure compliance with governance, statutory and safety requirements — championing EWR Co’s health, safety, and behavioural standards.
Contribute to innovation and cost-efficiency — always keeping the taxpayer in mind.
Act as a trusted surveyor and role model within multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience & Skills
Proven experience acquiring land via compulsory purchase for major infrastructure (preferably linear) projects.
Strong track record drafting and implementing land and property strategies.
Proficient in financial forecasting and preparing Property Cost Estimates.
Government-side or client-side delivery experience, including working through procurement and approvals.

Confident stakeholder manager, able to build trust with landowners and partners.
Fluent in project management tools and risk-based decision-making.
RICS-qualified surveyor or similar professional background preferred.
