Mobile Automotive Technician - Barnet

About the Role

Join the organization’s Service, Maintenance & Repair division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician . You will deliver planned servicing, diagnostics and in‑depth repairs directly to members’ driveways or workplace car parks. There are no emergency call‑outs, no unpredictable shift patterns and no roadside recoveries – just a clear, scheduled list of jobs and the tools you need to do quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing on light vehicles.
• Run diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally performed in a workshop.
• Provide members with clear advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks in line with the organization’s standards.
• Use a fully equipped service van, fuel card, uniform, complete tool set and diagnostic kit from day one.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points .
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication – you’ll be the face of the organization to members.

Working Conditions & Schedule

• Full‑time, 40‑hour week (core hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm).
• One in four Saturdays required.
• Option to opt‑in to guaranteed overtime after the first month (£30 per hour).
• Digital schedule with pre‑booked appointments – no reactive breakdown calls.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of applicable allowances).
• On‑target earnings up to £57,000 through bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.
