Job Description

As a Platform Engineer, you will architect, provision, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, specializing in Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS). You will automate environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and Bicep) and deploy cloud-native services. Key initiatives include migrating to Istio service mesh, implementing geo-replication and disaster recovery strategies, and building self-hosted GitHub Actions runners. You will troubleshoot pipelines and infrastructure issues in real-time, mentor junior engineers, and support Agile delivery processes.

• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Configure and support AKS clusters in various environments.
• Design and implement geo-replication and disaster recovery solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Maintain self-hosted GitHub Actions runners for improved automation workflows.
• Troubleshoot and fix issues in undocumented pipelines.
• Develop reusable infrastructure using Bicep templates.
• Integrate new services with existing infrastructure.
• Automate processes using Azure CLI and shell scripting.
• Build monitoring dashboards and alerts with Grafana, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
• Create technical documentation for pipelines and infrastructure processes.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and promote continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and encourage knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Cloud & Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure, AKS, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, App Config, Managed Identity, Service Bus
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep
• CI/CD & Automation: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Azure CLI, Bash/PowerShell
• Service Mesh & Networking: Istio, NGINX, Kubernetes (kubectl, Helm)
• Monitoring & Observability: Grafana, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Alerts
• Development Practices: Agile (Scrum/Kanban), DevOps, Infrastructure Documentation
• Soft Skills: Troubleshooting, Knowledge Sharing, Mentorship, Agile Collaboration

Nice to have: Exposure to Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps
