About the Role

The successful candidate will manage the maintenance and security of the school site, perform routine checks, and assist with repairs or setup for school events. You will contribute directly to the health, safety, and smooth operation of the school environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the school buildings, grounds, and facilities in good condition

  • Performing minor repairs and liaising with external contractors for larger maintenance tasks

  • Monitoring and reporting health and safety issues

  • Setting up and clearing spaces for school events, assemblies, and activities

  • Assisting with deliveries, storage, and site organisation

  • Ensuring the school is secure, including locking and unlocking premises as required

  • Supporting the school in meeting compliance and safety standards

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Be reliable, organised, and proactive

  • Have experience in a similar facilities, maintenance, or caretaking role

  • Demonstrate practical problem-solving skills

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Understand basic health and safety requirements

  • Be physically fit and capable of manual tasks when required
