A UK-based planning and development consultancy that works across the built environment is continuing to expand its energy modelling and sustainability capability and is looking to appoint a senior professional to support this growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Associate Director or a high-performing Associate/Principal ready to step into a more influential leadership role and help shape the growth of an expanding energy and sustainability function.

What you’ll be doing:
• Leading complex projects and delivering robust, data-driven energy strategies
• Driving decarbonisation and net zero pathways across building portfolios
• Taking ownership of project delivery, ensuring quality, programme, and budget alignment
• Producing high-quality technical reports and supporting commercial proposals
• Mentoring and developing junior team members
• Playing a key role in business development and client relationship management
• Supporting sustainability certifications and wider ESG initiatives

What you’ll bring:
• Strong experience in energy strategy and decarbonisation planning
• Expertise in SBEM and dynamic simulation modelling
• Knowledge of operational energy modelling, overheating, and environmental analysis
• Solid understanding of UK planning policy and regulatory frameworks
• Advanced Excel and data modelling skills

Additional experience (beneficial):
• Whole life carbon modelling
• ESG frameworks (e.g. GRESB, CRREM, SBTi)
• Renewable and smart energy systems
• Advanced analytics or data tools
