You will teach Science across Key Stage 3 before specialising in Physics at Key Stage 4. The role will cover areas such as forces, energy, electricity, waves, space and radioactivity, alongside the practical and mathematical skills required for GCSE.

The successful Physics Teacher will be expected to deliver lessons that combine clear explanations with demonstrations, experiments and problem-solving activities. Students should be encouraged to ask questions and develop the confidence to apply scientific principles to unfamiliar situations.

You will assess students regularly, identify gaps in understanding and provide appropriate support. Working collaboratively with colleagues will also be important to ensure students experience a consistent and well-planned Science curriculum.

• GCSE Physics experience

• Confidence delivering practical investigations

• Strong classroom and behaviour management

• Good lesson planning and assessment skills

The salary for this Physics Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
